Our mission is to unlock the full potential of donated biological samples, enabling patient-centered outcomes, fostering trust in science, and transforming how medical research is conducted. Today, securing access to these critical resources is plagued by inefficiencies—data is siloed, networks are limited to insiders, and incentives are unaligned for distribution.

Our decentralized protocol infrastructure solves these challenges by:

• Provenance: Creating anonymous biosample and donor profiles to link data across institutions and systems, increasing research value and connecting donors.
• Redefining Incentives: Using game theory to align stakeholders (biobanks, researchers, patients) and unlock $50B+ in underutilized biobank value.
• Distribution Platform: Providing a single view for a collective network of biosample providers, streamlining discovery and procurement with NER/NLP enhanced features.

Backed by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and other leading investors, AminoChain has raised $7M in funding ($5M seed led by a16z, $2M pre-seed). We’ve partnered with leading biobanks and healthcare institutions to build the Specimen Center—a peer-to-peer marketplace launching in 2025 to revolutionize biosample sharing while ensuring provenance and patient privacy.

As a Staff Protocol Engineer, you will architect and deploy privacy-preserving systems that redefine how medical data and biosamples are shared globally. Your Impact

Success in this role means delivering SMART outcomes:

Within 3 Months

• Collaborate with the founding team to conduct research and design the future AminoChain protocol infrastructure.
• Propose and implement initial enhancements to privacy-preserving features (e.g., Zero-Knowledge Proofs).

Within 6 Months

• Design and deploy a provenance and data system with ****design partners anonymously connecting donors and data to their biosamples.
